2008 Targa Newfoundland Rally Canada(10/21/2008)
Hot Bits customers dominate their classes on "the Rock".
They proved that to win at "The Rock" you need Hot Bits to keep your car planted.
Here is how they finished.
Andrew Comrie-Picard/Jen Horsey - EVO X - 1st in class, 3th O/A
Hugo Vadeboncoeur/Maxime Vadeboncoeur - Honda CRX - 1st in class, 8th O/A
Lance Webb/Giulio Baldasarra - Toyota Celica Alltrac - 2nd in class, 11th O/A
Glen Clark/Andrew Proudfoot - Subaru Legacy - 1st in class, 14th O/A
Matt Oldford/ Brian Oldford - Acura Integra - 2nd in class, 20th O/A
A few others had their struggles. Scott Giannou had rented his CRX to Mark Kyle/Kevin Paradise and they managed to find a tree and a large ditch on day 1 pretty much ending the CRX. Scott's run of bad luck continued when his Porsche 911 blew its motor while he was tied for the overall lead on the last stage of Day 2.
Marc Hacking/John Leblanc running in the 2009 Mitsubishi Ralliart also found the ditch on Day 2 but managed to get running again and finished the event in 37th.
Extra effort from the Oldford's as they overcame a broken drive shaft on day 2 that almost ended their Targa. It shows that determination and consistent pace is what gets you to the wins over this 5 days of competition.
Congratulations to all our customers, well done.
